CASS™/DPV™ with LACSLink™
CASS™/DPV™ with LACSLink™ provides address standardization and verification, improves the accuracy of carrier route, five digit ZIP, ZIP + 4, and delivery point codes for mailing. In addition to providing address hygiene, the standardization provided by CASS is important when preparing files for additional matching or consolidation services. Adding in DPV information further enhances the accuracy of the database. DPV indicates if an address is complete, correct, and deliverable. Going beyond the capabilities of CASS, DPV will detect incomplete address elements such as missing apartment numbers and flag the address as being deliverable or not based on U.S. Postal Service® information. Beginning in August 2007, DPV is required in order for mailers to receive postal discounts.

LACSLink processing has also been added as an additional address cleansing service. The Locatable Address Conversion System (LACSLink) service provides new addresses when a 911 emergency system has been implemented. 911 address conversions normally involve changing rural-style addresses to city-style addresses, but in some instances conversions may result in the renaming or renumbering of existing city style addresses. LACSLink reduces undeliverable mail by providing the most current address information for matches made to the LACSLink file.
